Arts &\; Learning Conservatory is bringing Roald Dahl'\;s Matilda the Musical JR. to the stage this fall\, and auditions are open now for young performers across Orange County.
\nThe process starts with a workshop on August 29 from 10 AM to 12 PM\, where students can learn choreography\, practice audition material\, and get comfortable with the room before audition day. Auditions follow on September 11 from 5 to 9 PM and September 12 from 9 AM to 1 PM. No prior experience is required. ALC welcomes performers of all skill levels and backgrounds to try out for a role.
\n\nMatilda JR tells the story of an extraordinary girl with a sharp mind and a fierce spirit\, who stands up to the adults who try to hold her back and finds her own kind of magic along the way. The show is packed with memorable songs\, bold characters\, and a message about courage that resonates with performers and audiences of every age.
\n\nCast members will spend the fall rehearsing under ALC'\;s teaching artists before performances open November 6 through 8 and continue November 13 through 15. Shows run Fridays and Saturdays at 7 PM and Sundays at 2 PM.
