DESCRIPTION:Summer Knight's Chess Camp   Ages 6-12\n\nChess has been shown to improve critical thinking skills\, increase attention span\, help children deal with winning and losing\, improve memory\, help build confidence and patience\, and improve problem solving abilities. This fun-packed week includes the development of daily chess strategy and tactics for all levels (beginning through advanced)\; outdoor interactive activities and games that reinforce chess principles\; a giant chess set and board on-site (including at three-foot-tall king!)\, painting your own chess pieces\; and an exclusive chess workbook. Students may sign up for multiple weeks as lessons are geared toward attending student's abilities. Academic Chess emphasizes a sense of camaraderie\, fun learning\, and sportsmanship in all of its activities.\n\nDates: Monday   Friday\n\nSession 3: July 16-20 (9 AM -12 PM)\n\nSession 4: July 23-27 (12:30 PM   3:30 PM)\n\nSession 5: August 6-10 (9 AM -12 PM)\n\nSession 6: August 13-17 (9 AM -12 PM)\n\nFee: $179\n\n\n\nStrategic Magic   Ages 7-13\n\nThis fantastic class has the goal of using magic as a way to teach children public speaking skills and confidence! Each week students will learn up to 3 new tricks and get to practice doing them in front of the class.  This Strategic Kids curriculum was written by a professional magician and has been a huge success in the trial run. Children learn card tricks\, coin tricks\, ball tricks and more! The last week of this program includes a showcase for the children to demonstrate their new skills to their parents and friends!\n\nDates: Monday - Friday\n\nSession 1: July 16-20\n\nSession 2: July 30   August 3\n\nSession 3: August 13-17\n\nTime: 12:30 PM   3:30 PM\n\nFee: $179\n\n\n\nCake Decorating for Teens Fondant and Gum Paste Flowers\n\nLearn hands-on techniques to decorate cakes with fondant and make different fondant and gum paste decorations. Techniques learned: tinting\, rolling/covering a cake with fondant\, bows\, flowers and leaves. You will learn to use fondant/gum paste decorating tools like: cutters\, rolling pins\, fondant smoother\, veining tool\, ball tool\, etc. Material fee includes cake and supplies to decorate an elaborate\, fondant\, gum paste flower 8" round cake.
