ALIGN Yoga Level 1 Advanced 75 minute Small Group Class
In this Advanced Beginners Yoga class, we focus on alignment, attention to detail, and awareness in movement and meditation as taught by BKS Iyengar. The Asanas (poses) are studied in a progressive and safe manner to ensure your growth, learning, and healing.
Great for office professionals, postnatal mommies, students "young at heart" and all continuing students of yoga that want to learn in a safe, small class environment.The class is meant to build strength, stamina, balance, flexibility to help you to move with confidence.
You will learn how to:
* Execute beginners’ poses safely and in alignment with YOUR body
* Adapt the poses for your body's ability and safety
* How to use the mat, belts, blocks, blankets, chairs, etc.
* Practice easy introductory exercises of Pranayama- controlled breathing
* Develop a stronger sense of mind and body connection
* Meditate while in the pose
* Challenge yourself with advanced inversions
