From 1968 to 2012, nuclear energy production at San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station helped clear the air in Southern California with its emissions-free electricity. Public Information Officer John Dobken will provide an overview of the decommissioning process, show the progress being made to dismantle the structures on site, and explain how the spent nuclear fuel that remains is being safely stored.
