Let your kiddos spring into action with SOCO + The OC Mix’s Virtual Kids Club! Join us online on Wednesday, May 20 as Kids Club host, Stephanie Holdridge, reads It’s Not Easy Being a Bunny, written by Marilyn Sadler and illustrated by Roger Bollen. This “hare-raising” tale tells the touching story of P. J. Funnybunny as he tries to figure out where he belongs. Though he has some tough times along the way, P.J. ultimately learns that family is forever. If you’d like to read along at home, you can purchase your own copy online here. After the reading, stick around to make your very own handprint bunny craft! This activity is sure to make for a fun-filled family afternoon, so “hop” to it and check out the materials you’ll need for the craft below. Craft Materials: • Multiple colors of construction paper (think spring-themed) • Colored pom poms or cotton balls • Pipe cleaners or twine • Traditional bottle of glue • Glue stick • Scissors • A black Sharpie marker • Pencil Since we are unable to meet in person at the center, SOCO + The OC Mix’s Kids Clubs events will be held online until further notice. All past and upcoming virtual events can be found on SOCO + The OC Mix’s new blog here: https://socoandtheocmix.com/kids-club-blog-posts/.
