Girls Inc. of Orange County Teaches Young Girls to Love Your Body, Period

Calling all girls! Join Girls Inc. of Orange County – a nonprofit organization that changes the lives of 4,000 girls each year by providing programming focusing on STEM, financial literacy, sound body image, healthy relationships, and college & career readiness – as they host the first ever Love Your Body, Period event. In honor of International Day of the Girl on Friday, October 11, this event will take place on Saturday, October 12 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and will teach young girls all about their bodies and how to love themselves. These important lessons will not only build confidence and understanding, but will enable these young girls to be strong, smart, and bold as they take on the adult world. Love Your Body, Period attendees will hear from motivational and inspirational guest speakers from the Girls Inc. team and will also have the opportunity to create their very own Period Survival Kits. As part of a community service project, the girls will also get to create additional kits that will be donated to young girls and women in need. All girls are welcome to attend with their parents and can look forward to enjoying a complimentary lunch, freebies, giveaways, gifts, and guaranteed fun together as a family.
