Energy medicine recognizes energy as a vital, moving force that impacts our health and happiness. Viewed as both a complement to traditional health care approaches as well as a complete system of self-care/self-help, energy medicine activates the body’s healing abilities by bringing its energy systems into balance and harmony. Based on an integration of techniques from Traditional Chinese Medicine, Acupuncture, Yoga, Touch for Health, Qigong, and Kinesiology. Energy Medicine can help reduce the impact of daily stress, release negative emotions, improve grounding, remove toxins, manage and reduce pain, and balance the body’s nine different energy systems. If you would like to sleep better, have more energy, deal with stress and pain more effectively and just feel better over all, this class is for you! Taught in an interactive hands-on format, participants will learn the basics of Eden Energy Medicine, as well as the key topics addressed in Donna Eden’s award winning book Energy Medicine: Balancing Your Body’s Energies for Optimal Health, Joy and Vitality. In addition, participants will learn the simple exercises that comprise the Daily Energy Routine. These easy-to-do qigong-like exercises require no equipment, can be done standing and/or sitting, and are appropriate for everyone regardless of health, age, or fitness level. Moreover, these exercises have been shown to improve sleep habits, increase overall energy and vitality, counteract the effects of stress and contribute to improved health and well-being.
