Basic Knife Skills Workshop
Learn how to chop and dice safely, while eating as you go. You’ll learn which knives you really need, what their purpose is, and how to use them properly. Knife skills are critical in the kitchen and this class will teach basic skills to give you that cutting-edge technique. This is a great class for people with limited experience who are looking to improve their kitchen skills. Knife care, sharpening and honing, selection, and manufacturing are also covered. Students bring their own chef knives. Light appetizers will be served.

Cake Decorating with Buttercream Icing – Ages 16+
Learn hands-on techniques to frost and decorate cakes and cupcakes. Techniques learned: tinting, frosting, filling, stars, zig-zag, dots, ribbons, figure piping, swirls, rosettes, flowers, leaves, and more. Learn to use decorating tools like: decorating tips and bags, couplers, spatulas, and turntable. Material fee includes supplies to decorate 18 cupcakes and an 8” round cake. Enroll early, class limited to 10 students. Students bring some supplies. See supply list online.

Introduction to Wire Wrapping and Jewelry Basics
This class will cover precision in measurement, wire binding and other techniques. Learn how to work with an assortment of tools while wrapping a glass or gemstone cabochon, selecting from a variety of gemstones. Students will work with square and half-round wires to securely encase cabochons. Class size is limited to 10 students.

Hand-Crafted Jewelry Beading
Learn a broad range of jewelry techniques from traditional wire work and design to beading and fashion jewelry. It is open for people of all ages and is suitable for complete beginners, as well as those that have some previous jewelry making experience. Material fee includes high-quality crystals, pearls, bicon beads, and magnetic clasps.

Italian for Travelers – Beginning to Advanced
Buon giorno cari studenti! This course will introduce you to the active use of the Italian language, stressing communication, comprehension, vocabulary and basic grammar. The class also discusses the geography, people, and culture of Italy. The course will be useful to tourists, business person or those simply interested in enriching their life by learning another language.

Introduction to Podcasting
Learn how to set up a podcast and focus your material to get the best results. This course covers the equipment necessary, online setup (like a website and iTunes), marketing, social media, how to shape your presentation for the best effect, and post-podcast editing using the open-source (and free) audio editor, Audacity. This course is primarily an audio-based podcast. Remote podcasting, as well as video podcasting, will be briefly covered, time permitting. Students will also have the opportunity to attend at least one live podcasting session.

Bronze Casting – Beginning to Intermediate
Students will learn the process of lost wax casting and create their own piece of gallery quality art. You’ll start with the initial wax sculpture, continue to investment in a mold, and finally participate in pouring molten bronze. Immerse yourself in this fascinating process and become part of a craft that is both modern and historic. No previous experience is required! Class price includes the uses of tools and facility. Mold supplies and metal are charged by the weight of the individual sculpture.

Students of all ages describe this class as “awesome,” “necessary,” and “easy to understand.” The presenter graduated at the top of his college class with a 4.0 GPA. Parents may also register and attend with their children. Class fee includes 101-page workbook.
