Celebrate “Leap Day” at The OC Mix with Workshops, Live Music, Food + Fun!

• There’s no better way to celebrate Leap Day than with good food, live music, premiere shopping, and fun workshops! Join SOCO and The OC Mix on Saturday, February 29, 2020 from 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for an extra special event where guests can “*Learn, *Eat, and *Play for LEaP Day!” • Throughout the day guests can take part in one (or more!) of these three interactive workshops: 1. DIY Dried Flower Bouquets, led by Betti Bliss of Bliss Fine Florals from 10:30am – 11:30am (Make your own beautiful take-home arrangements using dried florals and blooms such as umbrella ferns, thistle, eucalyptus, dried palms, and more.) Cost: $5 (click here to register and select the “Dried Flowers” workshop) 2. Intro to Macramé, led by Alyssa Alexander of @ama_designs from 12:00pm – 1:00pm (Make your own 9-inch macramé wall hanging! Plus, learn the method so you can make more at home.) Cost: $5 (click here to register and select the “Intro to Macramé” workshop) 3. Succulent Planting, led by Alex Anderson of Plant Bar OC from 1:30pm – 2:30pm (Plant your own succulents in a gorgeous container that you can take home to spruce up your home, or any outdoor space.) Cost: $5 (click here to register and select the “Succulent Planting” workshop) • There will also be live music from 12:00pm – 3:00pm, performed by acoustic guitarist, Eric McEntee. • What’s more, various raffle prizes will be awarded to a few lucky *registered guests, including beautiful coffee table books from Farrow & Ball, a voucher for a free paint color, gift cards to various shops and restaurants, and more! • The event is FREE to attend, and guests may register for any workshop for just $5 per person. To reserve a space, click here – and be sure to sign up quickly as each session has a limited number of seats available. • All *registered guests will have the opportunity to sample various food and beverage options, including sweet treats from SusieCakes. • Plus, from 1-3pm Rich Elixirs will be offering complimentary Seasonal Kombucha Tastings to all *registered guests, consisting of grapefruit & hops, ginger lime mint, blackberry lavender, and blood orange flavors. For those who prefer other libations, The Mixing Glass is hosting Penderyn Whiskey Tastings from 12-3pm. • Several retailers + eateries will be giving exclusive discounts, ranging from buy one get one offers to percentages off entire purchases. All *registered guests will receive a coupon sheet with a complete list of deals upon check-in. • *While general admission to the event is free, only guests who RSVP in advance will have access to the complimentary food & drink sampling, and special offers.
