Hand Engraving Workshop at Hadley & Ren

Join calligrapher and artist, Angie Mendez at Hadley & Ren in Costa Mesa at SOCO + The OC Mix for a beginner's class in hand engraving on glass surfaces on Saturday, May 20. The class will take place at two separate times: 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. OR 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. In this 90-minute workshop, participants will learn the basics of using a micro drill to etch designs onto glass, focusing on maintaining a steady hand and developing engraving skills. Attendees will also complete two personalized projects to take home. All necessary learning materials are included with registration, except for face masks, which are strongly encouraged for dust protection while actively engraving. The workshop is open to students at least 13 years of age, but minors must be accompanied by a legal guardian who also holds a workshop ticket. A liability waiver must be signed by all students at the start of class. Tickets are available for $95 per person and are nonrefundable and nontransferable.
