Meditation cultivates states of mind that are conducive to inner peach and well-being, and to eradicate negative states of mind. Learn how to control and still the mind through mediation, deal with challenges in a positive way, and develop an inner clarity of mind known as wisdom. Each class is 75 minutes long and is broken down into several sections. We begin with an introduction to the topic covered, then we still our minds with a guided 10-minute breathing meditation. This is followed by a 35-minute commentary on the actual meditation practice, then 10-minute guided meditation on the topic, and 15+ minutes of intra-class discussion, questions and answers. After class feel free to stay and visit and discuss with like-minded practitioners. The teachings and meditation sessions are suitable for beginners and experienced meditators.
