All shows are presented at the Lyceum Theater located on the Vanguard University campus off Newport Boulevard. Ticket prices are $15 for general admission and $13 for seniors and children. Season subscriptions and group rates are available.

A powerful drama which glimpses the savagery that underlies even the most civilized human beings. Novel by William Golding Adapted for stage by Nigel Williams Directed by Susan K. Berkompas After a harrowing plane crash, a group of school boys finds itself marooned on a deserted island. Realizing the minimal chances of being rescued the boys band together out of fear and desperation. In an attempt to recreate the culture they left behind, they elect Ralph to lead, with the intellectual Piggy as counselor. But Jack wants to lead, too, and one-by-one, he lures the boys from civility and reason to the savage survivalism of primeval hunters. This powerful shift in conscience transforms ordinary kids into primal killers, setting off a devastating battle of good versus evil and presenting a haunting metaphor for the savage in us all. Suitable for teens and older. Please note that no children under the age of six will be permitted to enter the Lyceum and babes in arms are not allowed.
