Beginning Video Game Coding & Design – Ages 8-12
In this course, students will work on a PC computer, with a friend or in-class partner, to learn the basics of video game design. Working with Clickteam Fusion 2.5, you’ll learn the conditional coding necessary to make your video game creations work. Students will create characters, game environments and more!

Intermediate Video Game Design – Platform Games! – Ages 8-12
Working with an in-class partner and PC computers, students will use Clickteam Fusion 2.5 to create a unique platform game! Give your characters gravity and create bad guys to challenge you through your game. Working with design, animation and programming tools, students will create a fun and engaging platform adventure!

Mad Science Rocketry Lab – Ages 7-12
Unleash your inner rocket scientist with a week of super-powered rockets and aerodynamics! Invent, build, launch, and take home paper rockets, bottle rockets, chemical reaction rockets, and more! Construct and keep an official Mad Science Skyblazer II Rocket – just like what we’ll launch over 100 feet in the air!

Summer Knight’s Chess Camp – Ages 6-12
Chess has been shown to improve critical thinking skills, increase attention span, help children deal with winning and losing, improve memory, help build confidence and patience, and improve problem solving abilities. This fun-packed week includes the development of daily chess strategy and tactics for all levels (beginning through advanced); outdoor interactive activities and games that reinforce chess principles; a giant chess set and board on-site (including at three-foot-tall king!), painting your own chess pieces; and an exclusive chess workbook. Students may sign up for multiple weeks as lessons are geared toward attending student’s abilities. Academic Chess emphasizes a sense of camaraderie, fun learning, and sportsmanship in all of its activities.

Writing Academy I – Ages 7-11
This course will focus on teaching students to organize and create cohesive paragraphs and short essays. In addition to strengthening brainstorming, outlining, sentence and paragraph construction, this class will help strengthen grammatical and spelling skills.

Cake Decorating for Kids Buttercream Icing – Ages 9+
Have fun learning hands-on techniques to frost and decorate cakes and cupcakes. Techniques learned: tinting, frosting, filling, stars, zig-zag, dots, figure piping, swirls, rosettes, flowers, leaves, and more. You will learn to use decorating tools like: decorating tips and bags, couplers, spatulas, and turntable. Material fee includes cakes and supplies to decorate 18 cupcakes and an 8” round cake. Enroll early, class limited to 12 students.
