Monday, February 26
Spanish for Healthcare Professionals
This course focuses on conversational interactions typical in healthcare settings, such as clinics, hospitals, and medical centers, and between medical practitioners, patients, and third parties involved. No prior specialized knowledge or familiarity with Spanish is required!
Dates: Monday, February 26 – April 23 (no class April 2)

Music Producer 1: Drum Microphone Placement
Learn about microphones and their use to give the best results when recording drums. Recordings of live drums can be edited into loops that are often sold online in various audio formats and may be used in a multitude of recording projects. A drummer will demonstrate drum sounds and rhythm patterns and the class will record them.

Making Better Decisions
In this session, leaders will review 15 causes of weak decision making and learn a fact-based, simple to use model that takes decision making and risk assessment to a higher level. Practice in using the decision making model is included in the workshop.

Fast, Fun French
Fun, fast-paced introduction and practice in pronunciation, phrasing and thinking in French for travelers and Francophiles.

Friday Night at the Movies! – 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea
A ship sent to investigate a wave of mysterious sunken ships, encounters the advanced submarine, the Nautilus, commanded by Captain Nemo.
Along with showing the entirety of the film, “Friday Night at the Movies” will share the fascinating details of the film. Screenings are preceded by a 30-minute informative discussion about the film, which includes its origins, the script, casting, production, audience reaction, box office sales, and the legacy of the film.

The Basics of Springboard Diving
Learn how to dive in a fun and safe environment with McRobbie McLellan. McLellan’s experience coaching NCAA and NJCAA teams will make this class enjoyable for both youths and adults!

Introduction to Wire Wrapping and Jewelry Basics
This class will cover precision in measurement, wire binding and other techniques. Learn how to work with an assortment of tools while wrapping a glass or gemstone cabochon, selecting from a variety of gemstones.

Word Problems – Unlocking the Secrets – Ages 9-16
Take the mystery out of word problems with Word Problems – Unlocking the Secrets – Ages 9-16.
In this workshop, Brian Clough will help students identify key phrases, recognize crucial concepts and learn strategies that will increase their ability to understand what the problem is asking them to do.

Learn the tricks of number calculation. Students will discover shortcuts for addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, as well as common time-saving mathematical shortcuts.

Writing Academy I – Ages 7-11
This course will focus on teaching students to organize and create cohesive paragraphs and short essays. In addition to strengthening brainstorming, outlining, sentence and paragraph construction, this class will help strengthen grammatical and spelling skills.

Writing Academy II – Ages 11-14
Class will focus on teaching students to organize and create cohesive essays and short research based writing projects. In addition to strengthening the entire writing process, this class will give students a solid understanding of specific essay formats, such as compare and contrast, cause and effect, and critical and descriptive.

How to Become a Mystery Shopper!
Mystery shopping is a wonderful way to earn extra income and have fun while shopping, dining and evaluating customer service at local businesses. You will learn the ins and outs of mystery shopping, including signing up with shopping companies, getting your first assignment, pitfalls to avoid and writing great reports.
